Thank You, have you ever been to Utah?
quite a cool landscape, my friends from PA freak out when they wake up to canyons everywhere with 500-1000 foot cliffs.
 


It takes some vision & guts to model that kind of scenery and you've done it well. I've only been to Utah once and I was glad to get back to the green of Western Washington....the moss on my back was drying out.:D
 
lol, lol, lol, thats good JP, yeah my friends complain about that quite often. they get to Colorado and cant blow their noses! I think the humidity is 10% today.
 
I was out to Utah several months ago. Crazy how desolate and wide open that part of the country is. I saw the potash mine and the DOE uranium plant cleanup site near Moab. I was surprised at the wooden trestles still in use and how few trains were running. One of the coal trains had three locomotives up front, two DPUs mid train and two trailing DPUs. Rt 70 parallels a UP mainline and in Utah the Utah Railway. Many of the grades over the Rocky's look unrealisticly steep like model railroad grades.

Yeah, I've been to Utah several times. In 1996, my brother and I followed the Rio Grande from Grand Junction over Soldier Summit, via 'the main road.' Next day, drove back to Denver, via Wyoming & the UP. A lot different than NJ.
