After several attempts to paint this in UP colors, I finally gave up, stripped the splattered paint off and installed a Tsunami2 decoder.
This is a very quiet and smooth-running model. With electrical pickup contacts on only two wheels of each truck, it does stutter occasionally.

Ken, were you able to install a keep alive in it? It would help with the stuttering.
If you really wanted to, you could always spray Lark Grey on it, and make it an SP unit. Then weather the crap out of it, and even if you hosed up the paint, everybody would think you meant to do that.

I'll install the keep alive a little while later. Just wanted to get this off the desk and on the rails.
Yeah, I know it's just a matter of plugging it in to the decoder, but that takes more time.
