Has anyone changed out the incandescent bulbs with LED's on an Athearn RTR MP15AC switcher? I don't know where to attaché
the LED wires as the candescent bulbs are attached to both front and rear mini boards attached to the decoder. My model has two lights in front and two lights in the rear of the cab. I really don't want to have to replace the decoder board as it runs fine, but don't know where to begin to attach the LED wires. Suggestions?

You'll need to look at the decoder instructions. Some have a strip or two you need to cut through to increase the voltage for LED's. If the board is factory look in the manual. Incandescent bulbs are typically 1.5 volts with a 1K ohm resistor. LED's, at least the ones Athearn sells use a 680 ohm resistor. Both resistors are 1/4 watt.
