During a module group show there have been many visitors asking how the modules were assembled, how was the scenery done and how difficult to make one. I assembled this little 14"x20" mockup module using scraps lying about the garage to take to shows. The idea to show the scenery transition from plywood to full on scenicked layout was an idea I saw on a magazine cover (MRR?) years ago. The cut out in the plywood shows the bracing and how the legs attach and are built to the groups published standards. It still needs ballasting, my least favorite scenery task. Looking at the photo, wish I had incorporated a structure, but figures can still be added as is. A battery powered lighted caboose will be added drifting of the scenicked portion. Fun little project.
