My name's Chris, I'm a graphic designer and ski shop manager from the Los Angeles suburban sprawl. I've dabbled in model railroading most of my life (all 28 years of it) and recently gotten more into it than ever before. Over the years I've started plenty of small layouts but never got any of them close to finished before getting distracted and moving on to a new idea. I get the most enjoyment out of planning, building scenery and structures and I'm a bit of a micro layout addict - I have two "done", two under construction and three more planned that I'll probably get the itch to start sooner or later! I'm completely unfocused in my modeling, having worked on or planned projects inspired by everything from California fruit packing to Utah/Colorado narrow gauge, industrial switching and even Japanese passenger lines! I work almost entirely in N scale but recently I've started down the slippery slope into HOn30 and (maybe) beyond. I'm excited to be in the forum to share my layouts and learn from everyone here!

Welcome aboard! I am also a fan of micro layouts. My first build was posted on this forum a couple years back. I was modeling in N gauge but have switched to HO. I will probably make another N gauge micro in the near future.
