Greetings from New Orleans, interested in 3D printing structural components

ModelRailroadForums.com is a free Model Railroad Discussion Forum and photo gallery. We cover all scales and sizes of model railroads. Online since 2002, it's one of the oldest and largest model railroad forums on the web. Whether you're a master model railroader or just getting started, you'll find something of interest here.

Hello all, and greetings from New Orleans.

I volunteer at the Louisiana Steam Train Association - we're preparing to start the restoration of SP 745.
I also have a baby expected in a few days, which led me to get back into G-scale modeling, a fond memory of my childhood.
Since I'll be stuck at home with a baby, and thus away from the museum, I've been getting back into my hobby of 3D printing.
I love Narrow Gauge railroads (fond memories of 14 year old me being invited to ride in the cab of the White Pass and Yukon Route #73, or maybe the EBT, or maybe the D&S, who knows - I talked my way into a lot of cabs as a kid.) As such, aside from G-Scale, I have a little bit of On30.

My day job is engineering consulting. I'm semi-retired from a career in nuclear power, having been a senior nuclear reactor operator.

Anyway, I'll probably be posting some of the things I 3D print.
