A few random examples.
BNSF unit train with all identical cars:
CN unit train with CN and leased cars of various descriptions:
Another BNSF train with various BNSF and leased cars:
CPKC train with a mix of CP and KCS and leased cars. As CP and KCS are merged into CPKC now, you start seeing this mix.
Note none of those trains have any cars from other railroads - IC doesn't count on the CN train as IC merged with CN, and SMW, NOKL, and UCIR are leasing marks. Likewise, I saw at least one DM&E hopper in the CPKC train, but that railroad was absorbed by CP years ago, so basically counts as a "CP" car and you'll note a lot of the CP Rail branded cars have SOO reporting marks, another subsidiary. A BNSF train could include some surviving BN and ATSF pre-merger cars; a UP train could include CNW, SP, SSW marked cars.
