It's 1959, and the Mayor of Lake Newt, Alabama has decreed that a "better" more welcoming railroad station must be constructed to demonstrate to the world that Lake Newt is a proper place to visit and live, so construction has begun by the Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia RR to construct such a place. It is stub ended, with an area for REA and other shipping taking place on a second track, away from the passengers. Since the construction of the world's largest Grit farm, the city is now prosperous. The signage for the station should arrive any day.

Hey Chris and thank you for the compliment. There is no web page about my little set up. I feel way to humble for that. I just try and re try to get something that looks and operates nice. This (in fact) is the 11th version of my home layout since the year 2000. I watch the videos on You Tube of the big club layouts, and craftsmen who build great home layouts, and do what I can. When this is finished, (it never will be finished) I hope to have interiors in all of the city buildings, light poles, and working block detection with appropriate signaling, etc. We will see. Here is a view of "downtown" You can barely make out (in the middle right section of the pic) the main line goes elevated over part of downtown..also the city.jpeg

very nice! Many younger folks nowadays probably haven't seen a phone booth...
