A little vacation to Switzerland

This is a narrow gauge HOm (meter gauge 12mm) Railroad that is very popular in the Swiss Alps. It is a lifeline during the winter months when many roads are closed. It also has a healthy tourist business in the warmer months.

The Rhätische Bahn has some of the most scenic landscape in Europe. Wish I had more room to model it more. This Langwies station is on the Arosa Bahn that starts at Chur (pronounced Coor, like the beer) and ends at Arosa. It's about a 30 mile long spur but is quite busy all year long.

This portion was not included in the initial planning as I had never heard of the Rhätische Bahn until into my second year with this layout.

Catenary is Sommerfeldt, station is laser cut wood kit from Faller, and locomotives and rolling stock are Bemo.

Litzirüti is the next stop on the RhB Arosa line. This is a plastic kit that looks nothing like the actual station. The stations on the Arosa Bahn were all the same. Like the Langwies station in the previous post. The only difference in the stations was that some of them are opposite from another. Meaning, the long sloped roof and goods shed on the right at Langwies would be on the left at several other stations. IIRC, these were all built in the early teens of the last century.
