    So much for every decoder being tested after assembly! I installed my first decoder last week(all went perfectly!) and read the Digitrax decoder manual.

    They have a "set" of 3 Cummins 700 HP Diesel engines,which start as needed,moving slow they only need 1 engine so there fuel pretty efficient.

    Interesting watching your progress,Ian. Thats the only locomotive I've personally got a ride on. Last year the V&T got a new engine an ALCO S4.Its painted mostly yellow,with green.It looks awesome!

    Thanks rc,glad you got yours runnin. Mines a Genesis FEF-2 no sound.Like I said I have the decoder and plenty of speakers.

    Hopefully someone else will chime in with an answer.I have an FEF-4 Dc with a TSU-1000 waiting in the wings for it. Mine runs fine on a DC transformer,but when I try to run it with address "00" with my digitrax 402 its doing just what you described,the power goes on and off.I was hoping the...

    Thanks,Trussrod.Wow!that sounds like a wild town,you live in.Here they race outhouses,not tarantulas. I went on a Harley ride from L.A. to Yosemite..25 yrs.or so ago,I don't remember Coursegold but I've always remembered Oakhurst,Ca.ended up going to thier July 4th fireworks celebration.
