I believe I also wrote about my search for gapless turnouts on this forum as well,...if you do a search for 'gapless turnouts'

That TruTrac (Truscale) turnout is a 'gapless turnout'. We need some gapless turnouts.

I managed to remove those axle covers wit the small screw drivers, BUT it was so tough I thought I might damage them. I was concerned with surfaces to pry against. they certainly don't 'pop off' like many other manufactures. And it certainly doesn't lend itself to lube inspection.
I wonder...

I acquired a few Scale Train locos over the past few years. I've not run that many of them as I didn't have my layout up and running, so my experiences with them is very limited.
I had this pair of ET44AC models in Operators Edition that I gave to a DCC installer to put sound in the lead unit...

Years ago I bought some BLI blueline F-b units. I never converted them to dcc as I was led to believe it was difficult to program dual decoders into them. I've now found a way to accomplish this, so I'm wishing to obtain a few more of these Blueline locos that some folks might have stored away...

Hi Alan,
i assume that brass loco does not have any traction tires?
When you said only one set of drivers providing power were you speaking of only one wheel set, or one engine set of 3 axles??
Are you aware of my experiments with pusher-helper express freight cars pushing totally dead...

BTW, this posting over on another forum is what brought up this question of mine,...leaving off power to the front engine to simplify things,
The fellow did a VERY nice job of repowering his engine, I just questioned the amount of effort it took.

Wish i could have found his actual remotoring projects?

Can you explain where you got that screen shot from? Was there any text that with along with those images?
There is NOT a stock Rivarossi in those photos. Stock Rivarossi(s) did not have motors like those.
BTW I once did a double motored Riv articulate. Had to make sure the motors were...

B
Sounds like you created an interesting articulate !
-
B
In general the articulated locos are made up of 2 engines, one in the rear 'truck', and one in the front.
Often in our model trains there is only one actual motor, then some sort of linking drive shaft, often a flexible tubing that allows the articulated bending.
When...

I'll have to put it on the programing track and see if i can read its manufacturer.
To me it did not even look like it had a decoder?

Humidity is not bad this time of the year,...neither is the heat. No sand fleas in my area, and very few mosquitoes in my neighborhood.
Actually our weather has been great, other than a few cool spells the north's been sending us. My blood has thinned out and I am more aware of coolness than I...

BTW, you might even end up inheriting some of my train inventory,...some now, some when I pass away
