The hospital discharged me about 1130 this morning. Doing OK, but still going to be sore on the lower right quadrant for another week to two. Still have an abdominal drain that will be pulled on my surgical follow-up...

They are supposed ro discharge me later today around lunch time.

The RhB line on my layout is around 6.5% at the steepest. That is a little under the max prototype grade for the Arosa Bahn which is my small line.

Yes, the site has slowed since this morning.
Had my first solid food in exactly 48 hours since the last time. Hospital food has improved over the last 16 years.

Good morning. I'm not usually up this early but hospital routine has mine all messed up.
Although it didn't burst, enough material was leaked to cause localized infection. Infection though was minor and ABs have taken care of it.
I still haven't peed yet even though my bladder has 240ccs of...

Surgery went well, but they are keeping me overnight. I could use the rest.

I should be on the table and asleep in under a hour, and home by 21 or 2200

Pumped me with antibiotic IV for two hours. Surgery scheduled for 1900. I should be home in time for the 10 o'clock news.
They are doing the laporoscopic surgery. After they make a 1/2" incision they pump you full of CO2 to expand your belly so the Doc can see what he's doing.

CAT finished. White cell count is slightly elevated. Might be mild infection dtarting. Now I'm just waiting for someone to read the pictures.

I had a tough time with the transition of his character from MASH to Trapper John MD. Two opposites if there ever was. And what about that brown hair Trapper had on MASH? It suddenly turned black when he was home from Korea? Lots of continuity problems with that show.

69°F/69°F this morning, same as yesterday morning. Today will be warmer at 89°F with higher dewpoint than now. I should be closing up the house by noon at the latest for a blast od A/C.
More misery in store for the coming week with highs in the upper 90°s.
