    Painting Track

    I took some nutmeg brown and burnt umber and blended to a rust color similar to that in the picture, I used a small brush and applied to the ties and track and wiped off the top of the rails. It turned out better than I thought it would. After the ballast was applied it looked even better.

    I just painted with acrylic, mixed up some blue and green until I got the color I wanted, painted it on and added my turf sprinkles, lichen, rocks etc. let it dry then used the epoxy. Worked out pretty well for me, I might mix up a smaller batch to create some even deeper pools.

    I did not tint it but painted the stream bed added some lichen and ground cover then mixed the epoxy and poured over it then I inserted my fly fishermen. I left it for about 24 hours. Here is a picture of what I was going for.

    Would like to keep it in DC. That is what I am comfortable with and it keeps costs down.

    $$$$$$$ The prices are kinda too steep. I have been looking at the Marklin product on Ebay but there seems to be more HO scale stuff out there. Prices seem close just depends on what you're looking for.

    Yes, it is a kit that I purchased on Ebay. It has an electric motor that turns the sails.
