    Tony You have the space just do it :) Also just checking do you have led's and maybe a few terminal strips you won't need resiters with thes they are built in Oh and some 2 strand wire to connect the 12 volt together for each unit (18-22 gauge) I think will work Looks like will ship Friday

    Don't think you will find that part by itself you might have to get a doner engine for parts allmost any 4 axle Athearn engine will work or the ones from A-Line all though you have to drill them out to fit the Athearn motor Or like Smudge says CA glue maybe that Locktite Plastic Bonder...

    I used 1/4 in OSB with 1/2" homasote on top all on 16" center 1 x 4 Even used some homasote by itself on 1 x 2 Made two helix same way no problems never had a sag anywhere was up for may years So unless you are going to be climbing on it 3/4" is way overkill

    That part is a friction press on part however I don't think it came with the 84001 motor I found a few on line for sale and none had that part If you look at the diagram for the DD40 or the SDP 40 they list the motor and part #90108 as seperate parts I don't think you will find any So either...
