    I am wondering how smooth the plaster clothe has to be on top of the Woodland risers. Where the overlaps are on the clothe there are a bit of a bump.     Hopefully I did a good job. Thanks for the compliments. I will give the plaster cloth a light sanding to try to take out some of the bumps. Or do I need to worry about it with the cork road-bed? I will keep posting as I go along. Hopefully the trains don't derail once I finally get the tracks...

    I have made progress and got 2/3rd of the plaster cloth over the risers. Hopefully I did a good enough job.

    I am going to run DCC. I am going to insulate both ends of the reverse loop near both turnouts from the inner main line. The addition question was is there any special electrical attention needed around the double slip turnout in addition to the insulators at the start and end of the reverse loop?

    So I have a bit of a question. See attached photos for locations. On my reversing loop, I can install the insulated joints at location “A” or “B”.     One of my next steps will be to put plaster cloth over the risers. Does anyone have any suggestions? The starter risers are quite small at the thin edge. Should I reserve the cloth for further up the riser and just put joint compound near the thin edge?

    Thanks. I have Peco flex track and the rail doesn’t seem to slide much in the ties. Is there a particular method for pulling the rail in the ties? To get extra overlap.

    Well the foam is all glued down...hopefully well enough. I certainly would not recommend using the stuff I did. Stay away from Lepage No More Nails...the stuff did not flow as well as regular caulking or any other tubed adhesive I have used before. Be warned. Hopefully it adheres well enough.

    I recall you recommended 6 legs. I wanted to try to minimize the toe stubbers to a minimum. I may beef up the longitudinal joists prior to adding more legs.
