    Dewalt chalk line chalk

Nothing wrong with mixing them together. You have to do that with paint.

    Dewalt chalk line chalk

Late to the thread but I love how the bridge turned out. I will definitely be using chalk line chalk.

Arduino Mega with Servo Shield for Turnouts

Got the zip ties installed and I think they may work. Also installed the two servos on the 3-way turnout. That was a little bit of a challenge getting the two piano wires through the throw bar holes. I mounted both servos on one aluminum channel which complicated the matter but I think will be...

    JMRI help required

A quick update: I have been using the setup for over a month now and all is working nicely. I have had not issues running three locomotives at one time. One with Paragon 3 sound. I have had two running in the reverse loop also. Yay!

So I was having trouble with my servos separating from the aluminum channel they were Gorilla double sided and duct taped to. After a short while using them, they would fail and the spring wire would come out of the turnout throw bar. I was debating on gluing them, but came up with the idea of...

Arduino Mega with Servo Shield for Turnouts

So the two way gorilla tape and gorilla duct tape is a bust holding the servo to the aluminum channel. The servos keep pulling away from the channel. So don’t use this method! It take weeks for them to fail, but that is too soon. I am going the think about using epoxy to glue them together.

So we have been operating the layout with the curved turnout removed and replaced with a 3-way turnout with no derailment issues. I have made a few buildings and laid down 3-spur tracks. I still need to weather a few buildings.

New Broadway Limited EMD SW1500 Switcher Squeaking

Even though I got rid of the real squeak, I can always turn on the fake wheel squeal. Lol

No way I can afford the locos with brakes!

A quick lube job and no more squeaks. Thanks for the advice.

New Broadway Limited EMD SW1500 Switcher Squeaking

So I was just at the Greater Toronto Train show yesterday and bought a new Broadway Limited EMD SW1500 switcher locomotive off a booth for cash. Very nice little locomotive. At least I think so. I don’t know anything about locomotive maintenance just yet. At least not the model railroad...

Well the SD7 goes through both divergent tracks on the 3-way. Even the S-curve. Yay!

    That is installation, not insulation.

I would run some temporary power to them. I would imagine N gauge is even more particular. I was never able to test mine because they were part of a reverse loop and didn’t have it wired up.
