Shouldn't be a problem, just need all the specs. To send it to you I'll have to copy and paste it in paint so it wouldn't be to scale. At least not to scale where you could print it out and use it as a template. But to see what it would look like and stuff wouldn't be a problem.

I have been modeling for 9 years but never made a layout that would actually run. Always made shelf layouts without ovals so never worried about wiring or anything. I seen a layout that was similar to what I want to make but it was operable. So my question is how can this be done? Also if I...

I tried to download that program and I had no luck. Tried several times and nothing. Any other suggestions?

Looking through all the threads on here made me want some type of program to design my next layout. I have AutoCAD 2007 and am fairly proficent using it. I was wondering where I could find a similar program for track planning/design? Hopefully something relatively inexpensive. I also have...

LOL yeah I'll do that. :D

No problem. No yard is complete without that kit IMO.

Nah I love mountains and snow. Besides I only got three years here then I'll head back to Indiana.

Thanks everyone. The kit is the diesel fuel/sanding complex made by Heljan. I bought it online from http://www.discounttrainsonline.com I never finished putting it together just set it there to check clearance.

As you can see I never get to the scenery. It was a basic shelf layout, more of a diorama I guess. Planning on doing something similar again only a little bigger with mountains and a winter scene.

No I'm at the Guard Unit all we fly are C-130's. I'm a Civil Engineer so I don't mess with the planes at all.
I don't leave Base too much still learning my way around Anchorage.

Thanks for the info. Never got to the point of landscaping yet. As I said I would get the base done and set up the track and building placement to see where it all needed to be then I would have to move again. Gotta love the Military.

What's free-mo? Still learning some of this stuff.
-
Thanks for the tip. What would you use to stick it on permanantly?
-
Never thought of that really. Not sure if there is a club around here. Only been in Anchorage for a few months. Actually I never had a layout plan where I would even operate the train. Always been a small shelf layout without any operation just for display. Kind of a waste I guess. My last...

So I'm not exactly "NEW" to model RR but have never really completed a layout yet. Got my first N scale about 9 years ago and have been adding to it ever since. Always got to the point of laying out the track design and preping the base then have to move. I only have 3 years at my current...
