    First HO Scale Layout

Thanks, Jim. I look forward to the day when I can buy a house with a basement and a yard. Of course that will not be in Southern California. By the way, Diamond Bar is a nice town.

    First HO Scale Layout

Thanks. The board is anchored to the wall using removable pins which act as hinges. When I store the board, I simply lift the front, remove the front legs, and then I secure it to the wall. The board doesn't lie flat against the wall but, instead, it rests at an angle. All of the buildings...

    First HO Scale Layout

Thanks. Actually, there is a removable panel in the middle of the board although, I have not yet cut the foam on top.

    First HO Scale Layout

Hello Everyone, This is our first train layout. It is a portable, 6.5' x 8' HO scale layout that can be "folded up" against the wall in order to allow our cars to park in the garage. The 1/2" plywood base is covered with a 1 1/2" sheet of foam. The Atlas Code 83 flex-track is about 90%...

    Circuitron Switches

Thanks for the tips, everyone. It looks like I now have more options to ponder. Great images NYC_George.

    Circuitron Switches

Thanks, Ray. If I wire the Circuitron Switches to DPDT switches, should I connect them to a separate bus wire?

    Circuitron Switches

Hello, I recently purchased 6 Circuitron Switches for my 6.5' x 8' layout. Originally, I was going to control the switches manually from toggle switches, but now I've decided to get fancy (at the request of my son) and control them from my DCC controller (Digitrax Zephyr). I'm new to DCC so...

    Great Forum!

Hello Everyone, My name is James and I am new to this forum, and I have to say, it's great! I really enjoy the images and the information that is presented here. I recently returned to model trains after a 20 year absence. My son and I jumped right in and started building a 6.5' x 8'...
