Hi Gang:
GM: I use a .45acp to. A colt commander with aluminum frame. I won't carry anything less. Well my Bushmaster carbine with the red dot sight, sliding stock and muzzel brake. Usually that takes care of any trouble. Just the sight of it makes tresspassers real meek.
Not much on the MRR...

Evening All: Not much going on. We picked up Mary Ann's tractor today and checked on dome metal buildings. The tractor is going to be around $70 for our part the rest about $300 is going to be on the shop that worked on it. The buildings are cheaper than I had expected. About $9000 for what we...

Hi Gang: Steve and Paul hang in there we're pulling for ya. Not much going on here. I did manage to get the mold for that part of the Cliffs shaft made and a part pulled. I did the mold because I need 3 of the parts and it was easyer and faster to make one and the mold then to make the 3 parts...

Afternoon All: Well it's been along and hard day. Not hard in the heavy work stuff but in the agrivation and noncense stuff. It's just a typical getting ready for halloween day.

Evening All:
Josh, I checked back on the Republic site and the depth is 600ft. and the one wall is straight down. When I saw it in 94 there were shovels and drills still in the pit. Now it is full of water. I agree the the Republic is a small pit when compared to Hibbing but Tilden and Palmer...

Evening Gang:
Ken: Yes I got the pm and will address the tube tomorrow. Sorry to not have let you know earlyer.
Rex: I'm going to do an open pit but just the edge of it. The Republic mine has one side that is straight down for about 300 ft. If I just do about a foot of the mine floor at the...

Evening Gang:
Josh: I'm doing iron mines in the Youper country. I've got a model of the Cliffs shaft in the works and plan on several more conventional under ground mines. I think that I've figured out a way to represent an open pit opertion but that won't come along untill I have more room.

Rex: The mine heads with winch house look european but that can be hidden pretty easy. The boiler house is pretty good as is but could be changed some.
What I'm thinking about doing to the mine heads is cover the brick parts with corragated siding. I may also run the siding up higher on the...

Hi All:
Ken: I know how you feel. It's been going on so long at work that it's normal now. Sometimes I have to force myself to go to work. I gave up trying to be really into what I do there along time ago. Now I do what I can, and don't worry about the rest.
Ray: Sounds like you are going to...

Hi GC. I like that plan of yours. You made a good choice in making the isles as wide as you did. One thought I just had on the elevation thing is to lower the terrain rather than raise the track. Does that make any sense? That bridge on the Dead river is really going to look good.
I just took...
