    2 silly questions

I intend to use side mounted turnout motors once I get some other issues resolved.

    2 silly questions

    1. I have PECO CDU (HO) but having trouble with connecting the wires to it. I don't want to force and break it. The instructions show it pushing down on the plastic tab to insert the wire. That doesn't work. What is this simpleton doing wrong? And does the red wire go to the +? 2. My turnouts...

    Layout ideas & suggestions

I have a 4' X 16' platform with no room for expansion. I originally planned to have about 4' X 6' utilizing an urban area with a train yard and the rest with a mountain and tunnel for HO trains. I currently have 1 train (Lionel Berkshire Passenger Set) with plans to purchase another loco and...

    Bus & Track Feeders

My first wiring project. I'm using an NCE Power Cab with 16 AWG bus line & 22 AWG track feeders. My issue is that the PCP Panel doesn't accept 12 AWG, only the 22 AWG. If I splice the 22 AWG connected to the PCP to 12 AWG bus wire will that allow enough current the entire layout? I know I will...

Where do you buy most of your toggle switches? I research them and get smothered in adds. Jim

    Side Mounted Turnout Motor

I would love to attach a picture of the diagram here but my technical IQ is substandard to say the least. Jim

    Side Mounted Turnout Motor

The wiring diagram shows the use of a toggle switch, I guess it has to be DTDP sw. With my limited knowledge of electrical hookups, I'm not certain about this. The diagram also shows a "CDU". What is this? Experienced information is appreciated & welcomed. Also, in addition to the Side Mounted...

Curving PECO Code 100 flex track

Yea, this just came yesterday although not all of them fit between the rails. Are you supposed to use them outside the ties? Jim

Curving PECO Code 100 flex track

Willie, Why Atlas over Peco? Are you using Atlas flex track? If so, how is it better than Peco? Jim

Curving PECO Code 100 flex track

This is another annoying newbie question. I'm having difficulties bending the flex track into an 18" curve. Cutting the rails to the correct length is really bothersome and problematic for me. I've researched you tube without much good luck. Everyone's help is appreciated. Jim

    Transition question for a newby

I'm still working on the track layout and wiring. Then I'll start on the back drops. I think I was getting ahead of myself. I do appreciate the replies and I'm certain I'll referring to them when the time comes. Jim

    Control Boards

I'm getting ready to build a panel to accommodate my Tech 3, Power Cab and several toggle switches to start. Can I get some pictures of what other panels look like? This could helpful to me so I won't have to keep reinventing the wheel! Thanks Jim

    DCC Decoder

The joiners are correct, I used them on several other sections of the same flex track with no problems. Thanks. :)

    DCC Decoder

No the manual just says "Your locomotive is already equipped with a DCC decoder." Then it just says how I can replace it with another manufacturer decode and how to do that. I've ordered the NEC Starter System and see where that takes me. Another question has come up. While laying the track I...
