    Wiring with Power Cab

Oh boy. After I clear my head I'll go to U Tube. Thanks for the help Jim

    Wiring with Power Cab

FWIW there's 1 line to the outside rails and 12 to the inside rails. Simply put, a bus line just has the 12 wire inside lines spliced to a run that connects to transformer?

    Wiring with Power Cab

At first I will only run 1 but plan to run more in the near future. So I remove 11 of the insulated rail joiners?

    Wiring with Power Cab

The selectors are to turn the power on and off in areas where the insulated rail joiners are used.

So how do I use the PowerCab? I'm really new at this stuff

    Wiring with Power Cab

No, it's me that's missing something. I didn't see the tress for the forest. I forgot all about the DCC as to DC. For now I'm going to fore go the PowerCab and run DC. I live in Ks but wherever you are you might have heard that loud popping noise when I extracted my head from you know where.

    Wiring with Power Cab

I'm just setting up a layout as shown in my attachment. This from Atlas book #6 "Introduction to N Scale". I'm not sure how to proceed with wiring the 13 rail connections utilizing the 3 Selectors and incorporate the 2 wires for the PowerCab. The Panel has the turnout switches in addition to the...

Atlas 80 N Scale Insulated Rail Joiners

I'm having quite a hard time putting these on. Is there a trick other than numerous attempts and a bunch of profanity?

    Layout ideas & suggestions

Right now I'm considering an oval with the HO and incorporate N gauge somehow in suburban and oral scenery. How hard is it to mesh HO scale with N scale buildings, etc.?

    Layout ideas & suggestions

So it'll be worthwhile to sell the HO stuff and go with N? That is to say a 4' wide platform will allow me to do great things?

    Layout ideas & suggestions

Thanks to everyone for sharing your knowledge and experiences. I'm considering the possibility of changing from HO to N scale. Will the smaller scale make that much a difference on my limited platform size of 4' X 16'?

    Layout ideas & suggestions

I can walk around my platform even though I plan to put up a backdrop. At times I would like to run 2 trains simultaneously at time and other times park 1 and run the other. Since I'm a new guy I'm sure it'll be a work in progress as it evolves. Thanks, the sketches they'll be quite helpful. Jim

    Putting on HO IRJs

Are there any alternatives to use rather than buying insulated rail joiners? Since they are so difficult to use. Jim

    Putting on HO IRJs

I'm not sure what brand I have but I'll look for PECO. Thanks Jim

    Putting on HO IRJs

So far it's impossible for me to put these things on my Peco code 100 HO rails. It looks like to me that the ones I have are to small. Are there any tricks to this? Jim
