    What are you buying this Month?

    For the layout configuation change that will add a small LPG distributor, I had to get some LPG cars. These came in today from ScaleTrains (ARI 33K Gallon Spiral Jacketed Tank Car). They have great details. The last photo is both together to see the color variation (faded vs as delivered).

    I've been toying with redoing the left side on the bottom to remove the diamond and redo the interchange to a smaller spur. This would allow a small industry spur to add another industry (thinking a small propane dealer) on the layout to provide a bit more operating variety. Thoughts?

    Got a little extra fun money the other day so naturally I spent it on trains. :D What else would one do? Can't wait to run this on the layout. Got a ScaleTrains ES44AC from Hiawatha Hobbies online. My first non-American railroad represented in a locomotive.

    I just use the basic NCE Power Cab on my layout, but it's sufficient since I can only run 2 trains max anyway.

    Got a few items on sale in today from Walthers and Midwest Model RR. Pre-ordered one of the America 250 TTX American flag boxcars from Walthers too, but that won't be here for a while. Happy early Independence Day!

    Got a couple new cars in the mail today from Midwest Model RR. Atlas Master 7550 "waffle sided" boxcar to diversify the fleet a bit. Couldn't pass it up after my blue one that I got for Xmas. Intermountain 5161 covered hopper with the BNSF legacy logo for the St. Louis-San Francisco...

    Building the North Texas Railroad

    Revised trackplan. No peninsula, but just a "donut" with a much larger space inside. Two industries on bottom. Larger truss bridge scene on the left which I think will look nicer. Otherwise not much change on the top and right sides.
