A second-generation train nut. Started as a kid with an American Flyer layout that was, I believe, mostly constructed for my father's entertainment. But loved trains and grew up with AT&SF and SP but traveled east from Houston as a teenager on MoPac to St. Louis and the PRR to Penn Station in NYC. My dad has traveled around the world to ride on various trains and was a small minority owner in the Flying Scotsman during it's late 1960's-early 1970's tour of the USA.
I recently spearheaded the repair and restoration of the old Galveston, Colorado & Santa Fe (AT&SF after 1888) depot building in Clifton, Texas, pictured in my avitar.
