Monthly meetings and seems to be more stable and actually growing. We've got the O scale layout pretty stable ready to grow again I think this season. More help would certainly be welcome! Also there are now two HO layouts in process.

Was up in Old Forge buying an outboard motor. AND drove right past the northern end of the Adirondack RR. Looked like they were getting ready to head out so I stopped in. Think I caught a training as well as the south bound to Utica train :)

Was headed back from "errands" two times last week & stopped both times to get a little CSX time :)

Started inspired by a Dagryffyn video, wanted to run Scouts or the premise of finding their limitations.... didn't go as expected. :)

I still enjoy watching the "semi" scale 3 rail trains, even more than the true scale ones. Maybe it's because of my time as a child watching them for hours going around in circles :)

exactly where I am, and seeing the new Lionel's offerings really encouraged me to consider trying one

Curious on folks' thoughts on those. I actually am beginning to warm up to Lionel again. Really happy to see the models that invite entry into the hobby vs. the high-cost pure O scale offerings that both size and price those offerings out of the range of many. I for one appreciate the smaller...

A visit to Leonard's Hobby & I got a chance to look over some new RMT cars. And picked over a variety of old Lionel stuff as they have a rather large selection of used trains. AS usual, anytime I walk in the door, I might as well kiss 100 bucks minimum goodbye. :)

Actually, brings up a topic interesting for me, and why despite the pricing of "new" this hobby isn't going away in our lifetimes :)

Years ago this was the heart of the New York Central's lock on Northeastern freight traffic. While PRR, Erie and others picked away from the New Jersey area, this was really the heart of the NYC. And now years later is really the lone survivor. NS has the Sunbury ex CN & D&H line with maybe one...

Along the ex NYC CSX Mainline between cp285 & cp286 afternoon of 2-24-2026
Couple of interesting things, including five locomotives on a power move at the head end of i003, a couple of really long Manifests with DPU's. Also there was a "spirit of" and I couldn't get of what.... yet CSX...
