There is an EBAY user... TRAIN DEPOT SIN CITY.

They sell what i have noticed quite a few broken trains. I got one off them, and it was suppose to be in excellent condition and it wasn't even in working condition. I noticed they are selling 2 more trains in the exact same condition. Their pics say it all however, in their new ads, they say the trains are not tested and condition is unknown.

Just warning everyone.

If you paid for insurance I would think that would cover it.
Also, if the guy says C-10 but it is broken, that would be a mistatement of condition and entitle one to refund to include shipping.

i know this, but it wasn't worth my time, i know i can fix the problem and its a nice loco, but its not fair to those who don't know.

I bought six Athearn passenger cars from them and didn't have a problem. Granted, the cars were used, so I can't verify whether they arrived in worse condition than advertised. I only paid $7.70 for six well packaged cars. Have you contacted them to voice your concerns?

yeah, i'm not concerned about it.. they ignored my last email. So far, i noticed its only steam locos that have the problem, and if they specialize in selling trains, then they KNOW of the problems they are having and hiding the facts. They did very nice camera shots of the train i bought to hide the truth. But since buying it, i gained knowledge of steam locomotives and i would have spotted the problem immediately. Right now there is 2 steams they have, both with the same problem. Same problem mine had.

As far as Ebay is concerned the old adage "Buyer Beware" should always be on your mind. I bought a kit that contained only 1/2 of the parts & no instruction sheet.
Other purchases were fine. You can often buy the same product locally for nearly the same price when you factor the shipping in & you can look at it before buying. Really limit my Ebay visits lately. Jerry
