Installed a decoder, drilled out the headlights, and installed LEDs. Using plugs on the LEDs so the body can be removed.
The plugs for the LEDs (M/FM) were reversed: front set M, rear FM. Defining the decoder front & rear light circuits.

Is that. or should I say was that a K-Line? Whatever it is it is unique!

Splendid work, I'm interested in seeing and reading more!

Yes, it is a K-Line good eye.....

I thought so, but I wasn't sure. Some have a bell like yours, others don't. I'm not good at real locomotives, but I have a better idea of the toys.

K-Line's MP-15 is a great starting point for your project. It was made close to true scale. You are taking this "toy" to the next level.
A little TLC, and it looks better
Excellent work! Another toy taken to the next level.

Thanks for sharing your work.

I find toning 'em down and taking TOYS to the next level quite appealing myself.

Here's an early Lionel 2-dome postwar tank car doctored up a little. Full wrap-around handrails, homemade ladders, wooden walkways added with brake wheel and staff, cheap rattle-can paint job with K-4 Decals, and sitting on late model, Lionel die-cast spring loaded trucks.

These are but two of a total of eight plastic postwar tank cars (five single dome and three 2-dome) that I have painted up and decaled so far. I still have another handful that I plan on doing in the near future.

Also did a couple of early Lionel single dome METAL postwar tank cars a few years ago. I did up two tank cars with same road name but different road numbers. ProtoCraft decals. Here's one done, and the other shortly before I got started on it, for comparison................

Still might have one or two more of these metal tank cars buried away somewhere, waiting to get refurbished.

These, and many more projects that have already been done, and YET to be done! 🤪👍

Finished another flatcar, as purchased, nice car, chains need work.

After filling the holes in the deck, looking at the size of the motor. Those weak, limp chains had to go.

Back down to the layout and through the door to the Twlight Zone. Pictures are of an N scale layout

Mocking up the town of Willoughby is starting to shape up.

Willoughby... Willoughby....next stop is Willoughby.
I remember that episode on the Twilight Zone.
That's a great name for your town 😁.
