Hey guys,
I have a walkaround style N scale layout, and would love to run it wireless... unfortunately I like straight up direct current, and have found few things to support it.
What do yall think of this?

Looks nice to me, didnt know if anyone knew if it worked well or not.
Thanks!
Kyle
I'm not familiar with the unit in your link, but our NTRAK club uses 4 Aristo-craft units that are similar. They work quite well...our layout frequently tops 30X30 ft with the operaters walking around the outside and there's never been any signal problems, even in crowded places like shows and malls. The controls are also very smooth and linear.
Kyle, it should work fine for what you need although it will only control one train at a time. If you want to control more than one train, you need an additional transmitter set to a different frequency. My main concern is that it transmits and receives at 27mHz, which is in the CB band. I don't know what the selectivity is of the receiver but I suspect a nearby CB transmitter would overwhelm the receiver. As long as none of you neighbors have a big CB antenna on the roof, you should be OK.
or 400 watts in the big rig!!!

I had one that I bought from walthers once when it was on sale. I never had any interference from CB's & I live on US17. But, I did have problems inside my metal building & I sold it for what I paid for it.
Anybody buy this thing? If so, what do you think?
I'm looking for a walkaround DC throttle myself. Thnx.
