Bachman Standard Sd40-2? :confused:

IF not, does anyone have any good sugestions? I need something sturdier than the Cheezy thin plastic OEM ones. a Little Kid will be handeling this loco and he made a mess of the OEM ones. Thanks in Advance for your assistance.:)
 
If they are for a little guy though, for the price of a set of Athearn handrails being what they are to order and ship, I'd personally scout Ebay for a good used Athearn SD40-2 or something else Athearn as they are a lot more kid friendly. If he drops it and it comes all apart, hey, no problem, easy to rebuild. In time, you can teach HIM to rebuild it and s lot of us have spare parts stashes if you ever need anything for it. I've seen them ran through the ringer and have completely rebuilt Athearn power in less than 30 minutes from top to bottom. You can change motors, brushes, couplers, EVERYTHING with ease as needed and back to work in minutes.
 
I second that! Once you learn how to fix an Athearn Blue Box, you've pretty much learned how to fix them all!
