I just bought JV Model's "Boyd's Logging Camp." Now I'm not complaining that there are maybe 3 dollars worth of bass wood, a couple windows and a set of plans. The plans are what cost money. That's where the time and energy was spent developing the model. They deserve to be compensated for the plans.

It's just I took one look at all the sticks, and I just knew, that I was going to substitute styrene for the lions share of the components. I'll be able to do the work in 1/5 the time and no one will know the difference. They'll just see cool little structures.

And I'll have a bunch of bundles of wood for other stuff.

I'm just wondering why I didn't just scratch the suckers in the first place.

Now excuse, me there's only on day left in the Internettrains.com clearance sale and I hear they have a lot of craftsman structures.

Sorry, Chip, I ordered the last of those craftsman kits they said were in stock at internettrains.com. I expect delivery within 8 business days.

Neener.

You know the GW as his final act is attacking Canada.

He found out that it was Canadian Geese that brought down US Air and says that any Terrorist Attack will not be Tolerated.

He isn't very quick on the uptake, is he. :D We'll just launch more geese!

Besides, if it's a land war he wants, we have the Hell's Angels on our side. ;) They're notorious for defending their turf, and where else does BC Bud grow? :p

Come if you must, Gee Dubya, but yer gonna get yer fanny kicked.

I bought that same "box of sticks". I ordered it based on a picture of the finished model. Only 1 window per structure. had to buy more windows. Built everything except the water tank. I made one from a pc of steel tubing with .04 welding rods for legs. May still make the tank for another area. I agree, the money must have been in the plans...certainly not in the materials! Jerry

Yeah, but Crandell, an attack on Canada may be the only way US school kids will ever learn where Canada is.

You mean, "The only way US teaches will ever learn where Canada is! Kid's only learn what they are tought, I have seen some real dumb teachers...............

I've yet to build a craftman kit:( they look like tons of work;)

Hey guys, just a reminder that we need to avoid political commentary. I know you're just joking, but politics always devide people and we're here to enjoy model railroading. Thanks for the consideration, and back on topic... :)

Actually if it was Barack Obama, he would have surrendered Unconditionally already :D

Sorry gents, but that's it, once warned.
We usually let a thread go off topic for a bit (well maybe a whole lot) if it's not too controversial, just as long as the main topic is not forgotten. Politics is just too controversial a topic to let go, a couple posts in jest sometimes we'll let pass but if and when it gets too close to the real world then it's time to close the thread before sides are chosen.

Sorry :(
Willis
