I was just thinking about how I've been a member here for some time and I realized I didn't have any idea who runs this site. I was just curious is all and wanted to say thanks for a fun place for us model rr'ers to hang out.

This is very true, clicking on the advertisements once in awhile would be a nice way of saying Thank's Bob, as those addvert's pay for our fun here.

Please don't start clicking like mad or the clicks won't be counted :( just once in awhile OK :D

Cheers
Willis

i forgot to post this the other night. But I think its kind of good that the moderator isn't always in here and such. This is one of the few sites if the only site that is the most civilized. There are rarely any fights or people flipping out, locked threads or banned people. Not saying it never happens but it is so rare.

So here's to a good job and to everyone who makes this a site I look forward to coming to read everyday.

Yes it's true, we all owe the different individuals that help keep this site afloat a big thanks! That goes out to Bob & Willis & everyone one of us for being such a congenial and helpful group of guys and ladies! That really makes the hobby worth while!! and ads to the enjoyment.

Thanks for the kind words folks!

As Willis mentioned, if you see an ad that catches your eye, click on it. Don't just randomly click, they'll quickly figure that out and we don't get credit. But if you view the occasional link that interests you, that works fine.

Another option. Buy your model railroad books here: http://www.modelrailroadbookstore.com/

It's an Amazon affiliate. You pay Amazon.com prices, no hidden fees or surcharges, and all ordering is done directly on Amazon so things are secure and you get their world class service. The forum gets a small commision on each sale.

Thanks, Bob, I didn't even know we had a place to purchase books here. You can be sure my future orders will go through that link. I do occasionally click on the links, even that dumb fish one. :) It just takes a few seconds and I know it helps to pay the bills.

A big thanks to all our mods too. They are always ready to step in and squash spam and keep things in line when needed, but keep a commendably low profile otherwise.

Finally, thanks to the 99.99% of the members here. After being away for a few weeks, I forgot how much I enjoy the pleasant interchange of information, ideas, and just plain fun here.
