Pad printed.I’ve never heard of these, are they pad printed or decaled?
Looks good either way!
Been there, done that. The customer is NOT always right. He is, however, our only source of cash.I got the black repainted on the Palace Cars today. Super glossy, but that's what the customer asked for.
I’ve never built these , but I have built other MDC kits. They all had walls between the vestibule and the car interior. I don’t remember any separate doors.A couple projects moving forward today.
The Palace Cars got their windows installed and the undersides completed. Still need to repaint the Observation Cars end railings, they came in a yellow plastic. A note on these cars, they came without any doors in the kits.
Also finished the decals on this NASA boxcar.
Looks good! One thing I looked at with my MDC baggage cars was re-doing the bolsters. If you look over on my passenger car modeling thread, page 2 shows the MDC baggage car compared to the brass car which is correctly dimensioned. MDC moved the bolsters in to accommodate 18" radii. It works, but detracts from the appearance of the model (IMHO)Got the platform railings painted and installed. We'll call these done.
Happy late birthday!Well we drove up to Illinois to visit family and worked 2 tables at The Great Midwestern Train Show in Wheaton Illinois today. We had a great show. The people up here really appreciated what we do, it was a one day/6 hour show so it went by fast.
My wife then took me out for a birthday dinner. Had a great steak dinner. So all in all, it was a great day!!!
Thank youHappy late birthday!![]()
You aren’t that far away from me then. I used to do the Wheaton show. Selling stuff out of the basement. We used to say “From my basement to yours!”Well we drove up to Illinois to visit family and worked 2 tables at The Great Midwestern Train Show in Wheaton Illinois today. We had a great show. We stay at the wife's mom's out in Yorkville, or out in the sticks as I call it. The show was a lot of fun. Being on the other side of the table is more fun I think. You aren’t that far away from me then. I used to do the Wheaton show. Selling stuff out of the basement.
