Ah, perfect thanx Jerome!
Someone told me they do molding for other companies and started releasing their own stuff, I don’t know.
I can either get the undec kit like yours or just bite the bullet and get the TTEX painted version. Shipping is the same either way.

I picked up a cheap kit to build and can’t justify this big of a car for a light load like this but it would need the depressed center.

For the $17 price (undecorated) they are good cars.

I see they’ve listed a two pack of the kits as well, hmm…

Funny, they make three versions of this: double vertical shaft brake wheel, single vertical mount brake wheel with appliances, and a combination of the two styles on one car.

Yes, they give you both. The brake wheel stand and wheel, also a brake wheel and small piece of wire. There are mounting places for both styles.

Got the 4 depressed center flat cars painted today. About the only thing that went right in the shop today. Just one of those days that I had to walk away.

It was a decal disaster yesterday. Thankfully today is going much better.
Are there any decals for Kasgro other than the Circus City ones?

I think Matt’s decals from Circus City are excellent. I was buying decals from so many other sources until I found them. They just seem to work the best for me. The film just melts away.

It’s never fun to have one of those days that unfortunately for me run together. You commented above and on my thread, walking away is usually the best thing to do

I do like Circus City decals as far as application goes, quality and variety of hard to come by things.
But quantity and price point are important to me also.

When I did the 4 Kasgo cabooses and 2 Schnabel cars, that was 4 sets of decals @ $10.99 each.

The dilemma the other day was older (5 years) decals. Stripes mainly that kept cracking. I should have known better before I used them.

So anyway, delay in game, to the paint shop we go, clear coated them all. Used them yesterday with minimal trouble, got the job done. Whole new batch of Southern decals ordered from MicroScale for the next batch.

So today will be a gloss coating day and then on to Window installation.

A friend asked if I could put these cars together for him. Older Roundhouse Palace Cars. Quite a bit of parts to them. Going to repaint the roofs, underframes and trucks a nice glossy black. Something I didn't see in the kits were any weights, so added 2 ozs. to each car. They will get 36" metal wheelsets and Kadee #158 whisker couplers. They gave you thread for the truss rods. I think I'll use brass rod instead.

I came across this Athearn BB kit a while ago. It's a Track One custom paint. I've only come across 2 of these in 40 years. The other one was a Southern Railway for a museum.

Got me to thinking, it's time to do some GN cabooses in both red and blue.

Second shot shows the Southern Railway version. middle row.
