One of my favorite local ones here in Pa. is one I visited. Tunkhannock Viaduct which crosses Nicholson, Pa. 9th wonder of the world most concrete ever used in a bridge..I went thru town early one foggy morning and couldn't figure out what the buildings were every so often that didn't have windows. When I went into town for dinner I freaked and went back to tell my brother what it was (we were working for a contracting company for the phone company) Its pretty spectacular. (I know I don't get out much!) :p

Good choice! The Forth Rail Bridge (to distinguish it from the Forth Road Bridge) is one of the Engineering wonders of the world, it's a joy to cross over!

Here is a photo of the road bridge with the rail bridge in the background that I took earlier this year!

My photo of the twin bridges at Sisco, British Columbia, where the CPR crosses the Fraser Canyon. It is quite the sight, and quite a bit of engineering.

All great choices since I'm a bridge buff. There are so many really amazing railroad bridges to choose from but one of my favoriites is actually a fairly small railroad bridge but the setting is spectacular - the Pulga bridges in the Feather River Canyon. There's a legend that Ralph Budd developed the dome car after riding through this area and came up with the idea that people should be able to look up at scenes like this.
