What's in your wallet^W roster?

I have noticed Bachmann locos listing for $160, is that one of those or one of the old ones you could get for $20? Did they do something to their locos so they think they are worth as much as a Kato?

No it was one of the old Spectrum units you could get for $20. I detailed it and weathered the heck out of it for what I intended to be a dummy unit. But it ran pretty good for a Bachmann so it's a powered unit to be used as a trailing unit. I did this unit years ago before some better models came about.

Here is my roster.

Steam

1 O-18-a 0-6-0 Van Hobbies
2 O-19-a 0-6-0 P2k
2 P-5-h 0-8-0 Van Hobbies
1 N-4-e 2-8-0 Overland
1 S-3-a 2-8-2 Key
1 S-3-a 2-8-2 Oriental/ Cast boiler-brass detail parts
1 S-3-c 2-8-2 Key
1 J-3-a 4-6-2 Overland
1 K-4-a 4-6-2 Oriental/ Cast boiler-brass detail parts
1 U-1-c 4-8-2 Overland
3 U-3-b 4-8-4 Oriental
1 U-4-b 4-8-4 Van Hobbies

Diesel

1 SC Alco Models
1 NW-2 Oriental
2 F-3A Overland
3 F-3A Genesis

I still have a few more things I want to get but otherwise I am almost set.

That looks like its been around for years.

I wonder if Bachmann has updated their stuff since they are pretty proud of it now.

LOL man this is an old thread! I still use Mitrains for doing inventory of my MRR stuff as well as my magazines and books. My roster has grown leaps and bounds and has taken on a refined direction. Aside from trying to get all my locos DCC, I have sold off locos that didnt go with the theme of my future plans. This Mitrains program helps me stay on track no pun intended. LOL. I also use the other Shenware products that came with Mitrains. For those who may be curious or are looking to keep track of your roster... got here. http://www.shenware.com/index.html

A bit outdated. It's tough to get a group shot.

I have too many engines to list. About 60 Diesels & 5 Steams. I don't have enough space to even store them on the layout. They are kato's, Stewart, Con-Cor, Bachmann,
Athearn, Life Like & about 10 other mfg'ers. I have engines from just about every road old & new. Some day I'll try to list everything after I retire again. LOL
Well, since this thread started way back then, I've sold all my steam engines (12) & sold 8 Diesels. Still have about 15 of those old AHM, LL & stuff from old layouts of other people in Diesels. Cut my roster of Diesels down to 35 & most are the more modern type. If I can find all of them on the layout I'll do a photo spread. Once I did a photo spread for another forum & after I sent it I found 3 more on the layout.
So, now I try to keep them in 1 area of the layout(in boxes under the tables) when not in use.
I see some of you have very large collections & hope a layout to run most of them.

Larry

The most I've had at one time was 65 diesels & 5 steam. That's why I had to get rid of some. Toooo many wheels & not enough track. I've still got to get rid of some more old junk(diesels) stuff(15).

Well of the 81 and counting I have 57 DCC, 13 are in the dead line and the remainder waiting to be DCC.

As for steam I have 6 and none are DCC yet...

Freight I have 331 and all but 23 have kadee/metal!

After digging through all my stuff in this house I have found this so far.

Tyco BN Uboat (I think), with a lot of stuff missing.
Tyco Santa Fe F? AB set, of course only the B has a motor and one truck. The A is just a shell (I know it was a complete set at one point)
Some train set SD40
Walthers GP. It is the same shell as the GP 9 from the back of the cab
UP 130 GP 9 Dummy.
AC4400, forget the manufacturer. UP Scheme but with GECX lettering. This MAY be DCC. I should crack it open and see.

As for steam, I have what was once a steam engine, but it has no shell. The joys of finding things 20 years after someone threw the stuff in a box in the attic.

The GPs and the AC4400 I have received recently from this site. They have kadees while everything is hookhorn. At least my scrap yard will have plenty to do.

While all mine are boxed right now, but let me see if I can remember them. Most all are Athearn.

UP PA-1 ( old before flywheels)
Southern SD-45 x2 converted to high hoods
UP SW1500 cow and calf
SF 0-8-0 AHM (I think)
UP SD40-2 desert victory
SP SD40T
NYC U25(?)
Conrail ballast express C40-2(?)
NYC northern with full passenger train
2-3 Conrail SD40-2
Amtrak E-8s

That is all I can remember like I said all are boxed, awaiting a home where I can build a layout.

These threads are always fun. Let's see... Almost all of mine are equipped with DCC and sound, with a few still waiting for a decoder, as noted.
