I finished working on my rock pile, I used the pink or the purplish styrofoam to make little rocks and then painted them to color.
Now I'm putting the rock pile on my back wall mountain top.
Also trying to finish off the left side of the rock wall layout so I can soon start putting my track down.

They look great!
I've been somewhat inactive on the forum in the last several weeks and even less active on my layout. This is because my dad suddenly and unexpectedly went into hospice care at home and died days later. I've never lost anyone so close before and (kind of) knew what was coming but I wasn't prepared for it. As many of you know, it's a lot to do and deal with. I don't want to misdirect the thread should anyone want to offer condolences so a simple "like" is fine
Anyway... YankeeDabller was having a track sale so I got a good price on 25 pcs. of flex track. That should get me back in the game

I look forward to posting progress soon.
Flex track arrived this week and I got to installing some today.
I also changed my track plan a bit. I have two arrival-departure tracks for my yard which also form a longer than necessary run-a-round track. The original plan was to use two sets of crossovers to form a smaller run-a-round within the a/d tracks. Now I'll just use one set of crossovers near the body of the yard and use the turnouts at either ends of the a/d tracks to complete the run-a-round move. The run-a-round is still longer than necessary but I think more prototypical (as I understand real railroads like to keep track work simple to save money) and this will also save me some money

Redid the yard area to a switching area. Got the switches hooked up and it's working now. I think it's gonna make the layout a lot more fun.
Unfortunately work projects have dominated a lot of my free time recently. But another turnout arrived today and I have a fair amount of flex track on hand so hope to keep up the fight this weekend!
Apropos of nothing, my new truck has a Youtube app so I can watch train videos on a big infotainment screen before work...much better than my phone

Waiting on a new turnout controller to arrive to finish up the new switching area.
DOT moved in to widen and stripe the main road, but it took a while.
The cars & trucks will fit the road, with the road scale corrected.

What solution have you found for electrifying the track on your bridge section once it is in place?
A simple stereo amp jack.

Lookin' good!
Waiting on a new turnout controller to arrive to finish up the new switching area.
What are you using for turnout control?
Not much. Waiting on more track to arrive so I can complete a loop. Should arrive early next week. Excited to start building again!
Still nothing going on here except running trains. Still have a structure kit from last year I'm thinking of starting. Maybe this weekend when it turns cold.
What are you using for turnout control?
Standard Kato turnout controls for Unitrack
Nothing much. Having a lot of other stuff going on, keeping me busy. Did get to work a little on that Mantua logger kit. Got the chassis completed, except for wiring the front and rear engines together (DC only for now).
Would like to find an HO scale "cuckcoo clock" headlight to mount on the boiler front, rather than the pilot. That's what the Q used on their T-1 and T-2 Malley's. Walthers shows backorder on CalScale's. Nothing on ebay.
