What font is this

NYSW F45

Ok so if I get my tunnel motor painted this week i'll have get it decaled just to see it complete. I have the "S" for the nose and rear long hood, also "susquehanna" from the SD70 decal set. But when all the units were sent for rebuilding and new paint they changed the "NYSW" and number fonts to this more modern look.

What font is this or close to this? This way I can maybe pick up a microscale sheet of numbers and letters to do it.

Looks like "Book Antiqua" or similar.
You should be able to type NYSW into a new message with your email program, highlite it, then use the change font option to scroll down untill you get a match.

According to WhatTheFont, its called "New Aster". The W is what sets it off. The NYS can be made with "Americana" as well, but the W will be wrong. "Bell MT" has the correct NY W, but the S there is wrong. Times & Times New Roman are close, but again a bad S.

So, New Aster it is...

If you want to run your own, crop the photo like I did, and use WhatTheFont's site:

Cool site, Josh. I'm not sure you'll ever get decals with a "New Aster" font but at least I know what it is.

Well, I'm going to disagree with Josh on the font ID. New Aster is pretty close, but I think this is either Dante MT or Danmark URW. The numbers look like plain old Helvetica. If you don't mind paying $20 for the Danmark font, it would be possible to print these at home.
