Just in, a Uace ED18-1. Was worried about this one as all the videos showed it to be a noisy runner, at least the videos that didn't have that g-awful muzak. But, it runs nice and quiet. Coupler swap was a pain as I had to cut down a Kato knuckle to fit.
I've got a couple of steam locomotive shells arriving today, gonna see if either will fit a Kato D51 locomotive. Also, in the order is a Nscale Walther's Interstate Oil tank car, been looking for one that wasn't outrageous to go with the Interstate Oil kit going onto the layout.
Just placed one of these on order. It's used but in excellent condition from a reputable dealer (I hope, we'll see). I saw it on youztube and then saw this review.
Taking my first baby steps into brass stuff. This is a fold up kit that requires no welding. It rides on a Kato 11-107 motor unit, so I know how it will perform.
They offer HO scale stuff, so may venture that way later.
Both of my Tomix N scale Kumoha 40's showed up. I had placed one on pre-order at the jungle site and then they told me that it would be delayed, so I found another at a local shop (in Japan type local) called RG Rokko who had it for sale, cheaper than what the jungle site now wanted. When I got Amazon on chat and asked when, they told me a few months from now, but then they charged my card and it arrived the next day. Go figure.
Anyway, I numbered both to match my HO units. I also matched the destination boards, except I'm short one Tachikawa, so need to figure that one out.
Bachmann UK Derby Lightweight DMU. 2 car set, used, from Ellis James Clark Railworks. Yeah, I thought it was just Clark Railworks, but when I received the shipping notification from Royal Mail, it said Ellis James Clark, so I didn't know what that was at first.
They gift wrapped this thing, maybe happy to get rid of it? haha But it is in good condition as described. I had to clean the wheels and will be doing a complete cleaning and service.
I noticed that the destination marker and the top headlamp are not lit, so will have to look into that.
Both cars have interior lights, but don't have caps, so will have to look into that as well. It is socketed for DCC. Not sure if I will go that route though.
Got this tiny n-scale power unit in to replace the coffee grinder that is currently in my tiny G15. That's a CR2032 battery that it is sitting on. View attachment 260402
Just placed a Kato GE 6/6 on order. Wasn't really planning on it, but I guess this being a great expression of a boxcab... I wouldn't qualify this as a drunk buy, but working on it haha
