Bridge and Building Dept
Thought I would show a derelict shed that I built over the last couple of days. Had some fun with this one, it has full framing on all the walls and roof. Built it to show a shed which had not been in use for quite some time. It is done in O scale.

Some detail shots of the shed. "Rags" were made using glue soaked tissue paper which was draped over scrap then painted when dry.

Matt love that shed! Great way to make rags too, I'll have to try that.

Well I managed to get a little work done, the tenants are moving in above the pawn shop. Looks like I made the stairwell a little too narrow by the looks of things!

Hello everyone. I'm afraid my own showing off is on hold seen my camera is busted:mad: However, I've been enjoying you guys work.

Matt - WOW, you are a Pro

Rico - I have that same building. I like the moving scene, well thought out and I bet most people miss it when they view your layout in person. Nice touch. That's the kind of stuff I'm trying to add to my layout, I think it adds so much to it. A little story line if you will.:)

Really nice work, guys.

An evening West bound local crossing Hammer Creek. DJ.

This looks like a bright light shot but the amount of lighting in the room was equal to that of an ordinary penlight. I'll have to adjust the shutter timing a bit when I get the chance.

You fellas scare me. I am deeply impressed with your abilities, both modelling and imagery.

Here is my Rivarossi Allegheny trailing about 2000 tons of coal on the nearly 1.7% grade leaving the valley at Seneca Falls.

Aaron, thanks so much!

Ray, I love those two images.

Chris, I have memories now of two layouts where I was in somewhat the same position as you are at the moment. It is a good time, exciting and fun.

the o shed is great i wish i could do that good of work. i bet if you would sat that outside in the grass no one would of believed that was a model building i do have one question how did you make the shingles

Meadows the shingles are cut from pre-stained 1x8 stock using a Chopper II. I cut them a scale 18 long and hand set them with a 9" reveal.

Some better photos (well at least not too blurry) of the first two machines for the fully detailed Texas & Great Plains shop that I am doing in O scale. On the car wheel borer you can see the brass HO scale builders plate that I decided looked right. In the structures section is a more complete thread on this building.

Also a shot of the Cranberry Iron Works stock house in Sn3. Been working on the adding the individual 2'x6' corrugated iron roof sheeting to what is a very large shed.

I haven't added anything here in awhile, so I got busy so I'd have something to share with everyone. A couple of Walthers 89 ft. Autorack kits. A little faded and patched for my home RR. I'll weather the rest of the cars later on.

I have a weakness for Allegheny's nice pics!!!!

Great stuff, guys.

Matt, your work is awesome, as usual. Your progress on the iron works makes me feel like I work at a snails pace. :0

Rico, I love that building but, if you measure the doors and windows, you'll fins everything is about 10% undersize for HO scale. Same thing with the height. It's still a great looking building though, which is why I built one for my layout. Nice details with the dresser.

DJ, fanrastic evening shot. What did you use for lighting?

Jeffrey, it that much light came from something the size of penlight, you need to cut down your exposure time a bit. :)

GGP, nice job on those buildings. That bracing on the one structure would make me a little nervous to be eating in the ice cream parlour.

Jerome, I sure wish I had the curve radii need to run those auto racks. :(

Crandell, nothing like big steam pulling a grade. Very nice shot and nice, subtle weathering on the engine.
