Todays pictures from Newton Heath open day, this depot servises a large fleet on commuter diesel multiple units operated by Northern Rail

and almost as old as the standard 4 is class 31 D5600 from the National rail museum at York, this loco was named "Newton Heath TMD" (traction maintenance depot) during the open day

That one at the TMD looked like a monorail until I figured out the yellow part was a pit under the train.

old engine.

OK, so here's my first night scene photo of my layout, long way to go but at least I got the light to the station.



I still need to put a light bulb on the mid doors, I had one there but it burnt out, and need to place a light in the 3rd section too.

If his camera has digital zoom, he doesn't have have to be close. I can take a pic of something 100 yards away and have it look like I was 20 feet from it.

Stay off the tracks!
Well, yes, but those people inspecting the locomotive to the right look like they are entirely too close to the loco-on-stilts, and I don't think you can blame that on zoom compression effects.
