I got the topside creeper online at a place called Tooltopia I think. They sent it by FedEx to me. It was a few dollars cheaper than a couple of other places. It came with the seat torn. The driver signed a statement that the seat was torn and said he would take care of it. After not hearing anything for 3 weeks, I called FedEx. A half hour or so later, I finally got to talk to someone who claimed to be a "human", but spouted the canned answer that it wasn't their fault and I shouldn't have accepted it if it wasn't right and nobody had turned in a claim that is something the customer has to do and that I need to contact the company for replacement parts under warranty or replacement of the merchandise....... (Amazing how much one can read off a sheet of paper in one breath!) I called the company and they said it was fine when it left their warehouse (Even though FedEx said they had an exception and that it was damaged goods when they received it). So I basically said &*%%$#@ to both of them and vowed to not do business with either company if possible in the future. So I can't recommend Tooltopia as a place to get it from. They have it at MicroMark I believe. I bit pricier, but a great company to do business with. In retrospect, I wish I had spent more and got it there. Luckily I was able to use the old standby of Duct Tape to "fix" the torn seat and it works just fine. It is great for reaching those way back areas without climbing on scenery.......
I think SpaceMouse has one, maybe he has a better source for it.
Thanks Ray for the quick answer. Ahh Duct Tape . How did man live before it was invented ??BTW Jeffrey always loved that Louisville & Nashville Colors.
John, I'll had to keep checking around for any more Christmad clearance items. I didn't think to look for battery powered lights but that's actually a good solution since you can just pop on a step-down transformer to power them.
Ray, I was looking at some of my early pictures and thinking that some of the stuff I first did looks pretty bad too. I may have to do some urban renewal in 2008. Sounds folks up there don't much cotton to being told what to do than the folks down here. The country just passed an a zoning ordinance last year. Until then, your neighbor could put a pig farm next to your house and there was nothing you could do about it.
BAD, I can see you like weathering. That KCS unit looks like it's been through a war! If I may make a suggestion, if you're going to weather a locomotive that heavily, make sure you get the brake wheel too. That black brake wheel stands out likes a sore thumb.
Oh no, don't strip down that less than common L&N scheme. Find a run of the mill model to strip. Of course that E6 looks better with the blue and yellow earlier paint scheme. That mid 60s thru merger paint scheme is a bit on the drabbish side.

Wow, I never knew that because I went thru the gifted program at school and have an IQ of 145 means I dont know what flaming is? HOLY MOTHER OF GOD THERES IDIOTS SMARTER THAN ME!
this was the only board i've been registered to that didn't have anykind of bickering on it whatsoever till the last few posts. Who cares what his loco's look like, who cares if the decals dont look "professional". There his, he did them that way for a reason and im sure he's proud of them. So back off, leave the man alone. Not everyboyd is a perfect modeler.
NZACe, If you aren't impressed with his work, why would you even waste your time, and mental ability on a such a useless, trite comment.
Put your money and models where YOUR mouth is and show us some of your work. I would certianly love to see your better-than-factory laser-sharp painting and decaling jobs, with 100% realistic weathering and prototype specific decaling, INSIDE and out. Surely someone of your intelligence must make quick work of this, no?
