Bridal veil material is often used for chain link. Is that the same as toule?

Yes, That's what I think I'll use. I was only considering the window screening because I have that at the hardware store I work at... very easy to get. The toule/veil is a 40min round trip... not horrible, but it still means packing the kids in the car and hauling them out after dinner. :D

WOW WOW WOW . Been away a couple days and look what you guys have done. Give yourself's a big thumbs up amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Way too little tme this weekend to read and look at everything. Just some absolutely awesome work this weekend. I've get to get some work done on my layout so I can take some new pics.

Ron, as a point of interest, the bridge fence is actually there to make it more difficult for people to throw things on the traffic or people below. Jumpers can still climb it without much problem. Nice idea and execution though. Michael's has some real nice aluminum mesh material for crafts - can't rememeber the name right now - that's almost perfect HO size for chain link fences if you have one of those near you.

One day late for most, but my weekend does not end quite yet. I still have 3 hours.

I got around to using the CP Rail decals I had printed. I could not find a matching decal in production. The decals come from the stock sheet included with the Custom Rail autorack. However, the CP Rail decals were of the Packman style, so I had these 2 printed at the same time as the Brinks decals & BNSF text. They're a tad lighter then the rest, but They look great, less weathering required to get them to look ok.

The car is temporarily sitting on LBF brass wheels, as I have no replacement 33" metal wheels. Still looking for a replacement coupler pocket, it currently has a Kadee pocket taped in for measuring purposes. Need something with a tad more swing.

tulle is the way to go. I painted mine silver with some cheap spray paint. that bridge looks awesome by the way.

Mike in Chile - at least one advantage to anybody modeling that region: They don't have to spend huge amounts of $$$ on Woodland Scenics trees, LOL

Hahahahahahaha... it's true, but we spend money on Woodland scenics ballast to simulate rocks!!! LOL hahahaha.

I knew it was for objects being thrown, but I like the name "no jumper fence". I sounds funny.:p

I'm most likely going to use tulle but I got FREE screening from my store and I'll see what that looks like. The holes do seem a little big, but it might do.

Here's a picture of the newest creation: GP40ACe

It's a commuter engine. The idea of the rebuild was that a old GP40X from UP was sent to EMD for a rebuild into a totally new engine, utilizing the old body and trucks.

The engine had it's dynamics removed, and HEP was added in that area. The tanks on top of the roof are for the propane that powers the generator for the HEP. Also added was a new EMD style safety cab, similar to what EMD uses on it's SD90MAC-Hs, SD70M-2s, and SD70ACes.

Enjoy!

Thats a Rail Power 3 window SD60M cab, converted into a 2 window, and the notches made...

Yep, couldn't have said it better myself.

Still working on getting everything finished on it...got a ton of work done to it last night, hope to have the notches perfected by tonight.

Well, since no one knows when the weekend ended:D

Here's some run through power I've been working on, ex SOU 3216x built in January of 1973. Couple more coats of Microsol and I'll be ready for weathering and dullcoat.

I love those OMI horns:)

The prototype:

could you do a brief write up on how you created the nose? what needed to be added, chopped, etc? I've wanted someone to make an HO SD70ACe/M-2 for a while. Not OMI, something a little more affordable. I could slap on a new nose on my SD80Mac and have a close enough replica.
