I have noticed for three days now that Jeff has not posted here or elsewhere, and have begun to be concerned. If he was logged on, it must be that he is more pressed than usual, or something else that precludes his overt participation.

Jeff, I hope you are okay.

He has some health issues:

The ceftriaxone is what I'm on at home. I was on 3 or 4 very powerful antibiotics in the hospital as my infection was a actually several infections, including cellulitis.

Sorry I'm not on more often but until my eyesight gets back to normal I can only read the screen a few times a day. The way it is right now is that a room with adequate lighting for reading looks as if it's dimly lit. The long course of strong antibiotics I've been on for the past week have a lot to do with it. Not only that, they've made my already short temper even shorter, so I really have to stay on top of my game when I'm talking with other members of my family, especially my father. That man can ask some of the stupidest, most insidious questions about what I'm going through and I constantly have to keep reminding myself that it's because he doesn't understand but really wants too. My problems are such that there's no way anybody can understand them unless they've been there themselves. Watching it happen to a husband, wife or child isn't the same as having it happen to you. Only then can you truly understand what it's like. Now the docs say that my vision will return to normal in a few weeks, maybe as long as 2 months. Until then I'm getting a bit of a taste of what my mother went through before she had her lasik eye surgery done to return her eyesight to normal. Before that she was legally blind and couldn't see 3 feet without her glasses which were a monstrously heavy pair of thick lenses supported by a thick wire frame. Now she doesn't have to wear glasses at all. If only the answers to all her problems were that easy. I'm only on 1 intravenous antibiotic now and I can administer it myself in the comfort of my home. I still have to use it for 20 more days but at least I'm off that iv rack of 3 and 4 going at one time. I hope I never have to go through that again. I'm hoping the docs are right and that my eyesight will return to normal. As it is right now I can't do any modeling as I have a extremely hard time focusing my eyes. So please excuse me if I only pop in a few times a day.

Check Flo's Coffee Shop. That's where we exchange good hearted banter but also talk about some of life's challenges. Jeffrey has indeed had some medical problems but we're hopeful they will be getting better over the next couple of weeks. Thankfully, he's still alive, just not kicking quite as much. :)
