Does anybody know how to turn the sound on a BlueLine diesel completely off in DC mode? It's a noticeable power suck when the sound comes on, but turning it "down" to 0 doesn't seem to ameliorate the situation. I want to "disable" the sound feature in DC mode.
Look in the manual that came with the engine. If you want to start right away there is a jumper that can be installed.
You could also try a couple of settings
CV131 is the analog sound unit startup level. A lower number causes the sounds to start at a lower track voltage. Try setting it to 255
CV133 is master volume. You could try setting to 0
CV248 is enhanced DC motor startup delay which delays motor startup after applying power. Set to 0
CV252 is DC Motor control VMin. Default is 80, try setting lower
There are a few others listed in the manual that came with the engine. It might be worth checking out.
