Oh man, that is really good sound. I have several of the steam Tsunami's, but haven't tried the Diesels yet. NOW I WILL! :D
If I may suggest: If you are not using DecoderPro to do your programming with, I would highly recommend it. It is very difficult to keep track of all the Tsunami CV settings without it. ;)

Lotsa papers. I managed though. Thank god the school doesn't know I used their computers for printing all that crap!

Man that sounds damn near perfect! (please excuse my language) I'll be ordering some now! Wonder how it'll sound with a smaller speaker that will fit in a narrow hood? I have numerous SD60/SD60M's, SD70/SD70M/SD70MAC's, SD40-2's, ect that I would like to add sound too.

Talk about authentic sound -- I imagined I was watching [and hearing] a push/pull MARC train powered by a GP40-2WH! I know where my money's going when I start investing in 2nd-gen sound decoders.

Rex is correct. I was at my clubs layout on Sunday and a guy had decoder pro on his PC. First time I had seen it. He was showing me all the ins and outs of the program. It looks like a good idea to use this proram with Tsunami and any other decoders as tring to write down all the CV settings would be a PITA.

on a side note let us know how you control max voltage (top speed) on the diesel decoders. Im still having trouble controling top speed with my Tsunami steam.

Awesome

I put a diesel Tsunami (EMD 1st gen) in my Proto E8, with a "high bass" speaker that my LHS recommended. Absolutely awesome sound! I thought my other engines with the LC series sound decoders were neat, but this blows them away!
Now if I can only convince the CFO that all the silent engines need the same upgrade, life would be wonderful! :D Only problem is, she is already griping about having to turn the basement TV up because of the trains.:p

The one thing I love with the Tsunami is that you can program the decoder to "throttle up" when it detects a load on the motor. The engine will be running along on level track with the sounds of a steady pull. then when the train starts to pull a grade the decoder turns up the sound of the engine as if its working harder. You have to fine tune the CV setting but when its dialed in it works great!

i wish they would come out with a ge clip from the c30's and uboats, not the newer stuff. i want to here that classic ge chugging.

They'll most likely have 2 versions Steve. C30-7's are easily accessable in Michigan.
Not for long. Rumor coming from the crews if that Cleveland Cliffs is looking into buying 4-6 new GE's. I'm hearing ES44AC's are the best "bet". Wonder how they'll paint them?

Well I have installed one in one of my Union Pacific SD45T-2's
Its great. throttle sounds are right on and all eight settings are there. you can even turn on the dynamic brakes. a choice of 14 differant horns make it compatable with most railroads and engines that you would use them in.

I do have one complaint the speakers that I got dont fit HO scale locomotives. they do say that they will but with the limited space they didnt fit. I had to take them apart to make them fit and then they dont sound that good. i will have to get some other ones.
However that dosnt have any effect on the Decoder itself and I will be buying more to fit to my other locomotives.

I am just hoping that they do some for GE locomotives.
