Hey y'all I'm looking at starting an n scale layout but am not good at coming up with OG track plans is there a software out there where you can punch in the deminsions your working with and it will offer track plans. I like the Old lay out that DIY AND DIGITAL has on YouTube but I am staying away from dcc. Any and all help is appreciated thank you

I don't know what "OG" track plans are, but there are many software tools for layout design out there. SCARM, XTRAK, 3RDPLANIT, Atlas Right Track (I use version 8, version 10 is so bad it's bugs have fleas), Anyrail, RailModeler Pro, etc. But, I don't know any of which that have a feature to present pre-made track plans based on specifications. For that, you might have better luck on the former Kalmbach MRT site that has a layout library of all the layouts featured in the magazines over the years. Those are sortable by size. https://www.trains.com/mrr/how-to/track-plan-database/

Not certain what you are referring to here either, but a layout design (track arrangement) has nothing to do with the control system to be used on it. Manual push by hand, AC, DC, TCS, DCC, or any of the other 10s of possibilities, does not matter.

sorry I was meaning coming up with an original track plan like not one that is in book or on a website. And as far layout design and controll I mean like on the layout I said it has dual main with meets and has a lot of the operations I want but has all the fancy dcc stuff that I am not smart enough to begin to comprehend. but I might look at the kalmbach media site so thank you..

Use Kato's website, they will give you the option of looking for your size/area. It is geared for their Unitrack, but that is great stuff.

Also sorry for use of my generations slang and lingo, I sometimes forget who I talk to at times.
No worries, we are glad to have you with us! Even though you are a Steelers fan ;) Go Ravens! 😁

I like AnyRail, but I don't know about it generating track plans for you.

You are probably ahead of your time with that one. With the proliferation of AI, it wouldn't surprise me.
