My ablities to draw up and design layout track plans suck. Here is what I have to work with, room is 115" long by 111" deep. Door swings inward and is located at the front left corner. I am wanting an around the wall shelf layout that goes along the front wall, with an 18r turn curve there, then keeping it narrow along the right wall, then along the back wall it can be a bit deeper, as it comes to back toward the left side wall, I want it to gradualy balloon out to another 18' radius curve. Basicly a folded dog bone layout that is in sort of a "C" shape along 3 walls. I am modeling the Vaughn MS area where Casey Jones had his wreck. Era is 1895 thru 1903 so all the equipment is small, ten wheelers for passenger trains that use predominantly MDC Overton 36' passenger cars, old time 2-8-0's for freight duty. I am stuck with a very small room for my layout, but I enjoy the challange of turn of the century modeling. If anybody has a good free ware computer track planning software that can be down loaded, that would be awsome. I can draw it out, but it never works when I try to build it due to getting it drawn to scale. I was thinking the "S" curves leading into Vaughn and the location of the wreck would fit along the righ wall area or coming out of the curve onto the back section of the layout. Then an already exhisting curve could be incorperated into the "S" curve. Thanks for any help in advance. Mike
