I went to a toy fair yesterday,at the local football stadium, which had around 280 stalls set up. It was mainly Hornby OO railway stuff, with a few US railroad items in amongst them. I looked at a couple of old Athearn locos, but they were not in too good a condition, with hand rails bent, and stanchions glued on at all angles. I ended up getting a pair of Athearn blue box box cars for $22.60. This was a special edition set, with two PRR/GAEX box cars. I swapped out the horn and hook couplers, and fitted Kadees before I ran them. The next time I go back to Pennsylvania, I,ll have to stock up on metal freight car wheel sets.

Nice pair of cars. IIRC, Athearn came out with this set just before they started RTR production. They are a fairly rare set.
