Thanks to our good Friend Tom (CambriArea51) he suggested a thread last week on TOFC. Tuesday. This one is probably going to be my favorite one yet. You can post your TOFC Piggybacks, Containers on Chassis or real 1.1 TOFC if you like. I’ll get us started with just a few of mine. The Great Northern I Custom built way before Athearn released there RTR one. The front mounted Thermoking Reefer unit is one I used to cast the fuel tank is a A-line one.The Rio Grande is a very old Athearn that’s getting kinda hard to find. I also added Lonestar Mudflaps to all of them Thanks Tom for the idea

I hope to get it done by next Tuesday and I just bought a 85’ ATSF kinda like yours Today on eBay. Thanks for sharing hope you post more next Tuesday

i almost forgot about mine, they have been stored away for a half dozen years now ...
anyways there are nine of them , just the end two with normal couplers on one end, the other end is a drawbar thingy, twenty eight inch wheels, no side wheel guards, just flat on top, made by front range, the boxes have 'spine cars' marked on them. pretty much all white in colour, no decals came with them [bought slightly used]

No, no trailer. Ha, it's been long enough now I don't recall what my intention was with this car. I was going to repaint/decal the Athearn car so it would fit a little better into the end of my time line, 1952 (ish).
Didn't TOFC's really get started on the RR 1954-5, in there somewhere?
Some were early than that back in the Horse and wagon days but it started to really take off in the early 1950s then in 1955 Pennsylvania TrucTrain can into play and then it really took off. Those Athearn would be perfect on your time on your layout the 50’ would work also with a 32’-35’ trailer on it also.

I don't have any layout pictures handy that I haven't posted before, so here's a 1:1 scale one. Westbound BNSF intermodal in Kingman Canyon, AZ, October 2017. Two C44-9Ws and an SD70ACe. I drove from Las Vegas to Kingman because there was supposed to be lots of trains out there, only to find the transcon shut down all morning for some reason. Finally things started rolling around mid-afternoon and I was able to catch this one.
