Thoughts on IHC engines & some questions.

I picked up a train lot yesterday at a toy show, It was a bachman set with 2 santa fe engines 1 powered & 1 dummy, also had 5 cars, track, (silver), lighted bridge, ect...

And the IHC EMD SD-40 santa-fe engine. Overall a nice engine with the exception of some broken handrails.

I figured for what i payed for everything i wasnt gonna pass on it for $10.00


Just wanna see others thoughts on these engines.

I opened it up to see it is a dual drive rather then the single drive that most cheaper stuff has. Now my question is this engine able to be converted to DCC if so what would it take to do so.

Also does anyone make aftermarket handrails? Figured since these are broken off i could cut em all off and replace em with aftermarket rails.

Hows that drive work? Reminds me of the old Tyco bodies.

The couple that I had seemed to run okay.
