I went elsewhere and bought another bucket of drywall mud to get my mountains. What a difference!! So i did get a bad batch or most likely a frozen bucket. Now i can make mountains!!

I haven't been feeling all the well, So i took some time away from the layout. Today is another thing. I got first and second coats of the new bucket of drywall mud. What a difference it made! This stuff is so easy to work along with. I have the mountain to finish on the right side of the layout. I may have to get another qt to finish. If i do i will check first before i buy. Shots of the back area i have got so much done. I put 4 shots in here of that fun. So way much easier!

I am taking a break. Plan to clean up the layout and track. Gonna run some trains and enjoy the the holidays. My body is giving me pain in places that i need to be using. My hands are the worst. I plan to wait till after new years before i start up the build again. Somewhere in the stuff, i have a christmas tree for the court yard in front of the office and hotel. Gonna find it and put it back where it belongs. Happy holidays folks!

I cleaned the layout off and was working on cleaning the rack and saw a place that needing a small change. But i went too far and now will have to make another change to fix that! Funny how something small can blow the plan up. So.. guess i will have to fix that and see if i can do it without getting into anything major. Shots below.

Well, I just can't quit without seeing something else that needs fixing. I have several shots of the headache and fixing. I got the work from the trestle bac to the whole left side finished but for the rest of the cracks in the plaster to make the rough rock formations to show. I also have a picture of my next area to (fix).

I had thought of placing a small mountain to give another pass for the main line. I went ahead and did it and its not great but i am keeping it. I will most likely change the shape of the hill in front some to make it follow the track better. Shots below. next...

I have been having computer issues i hope to be solved this week. This old computer is so slow it takes forever to get anything done. I have been busy, but i did find time to do a bit on the layout. I changed the way the tracks come across the river. this is the right side of the layout i am working on. I got the plaster cloth done. When i have time i can do the plaster mud to it. Shots below. I had to learn how to do it in windows 7 again. Been using windows 10 for so long. One other thing is i was able to get myself a S-2 for Christmas. Should be here in a few days. If it works as good as there rs-2's, i will be so happy!

I finally put the plaster to rest for now. I cleaned up the track the other night and a lot of work on it last night. First up, My RS-2. After cleaning its wheels. It ran pretty good with slow speeds. Next was my NW-1 Bli unit. It ran perfect right out of the box. Sound and all. I am waiting for my new S-2 to arrive. Should be here today. Will make a video when i start running it. I can see the engines everywhere but the tunnels. I like that! Laters

Wow really coming along!
You’re like me, well most of us, always finding something to change/improve.
And that loco sounds pretty sweet, haven’t heard an N scale loco before!

Its pretty cool. Most times i turn sounds off. If i am showing off or show it i turn it on. Something that didn't show well was the town hall Christmas tree. Heres a shot.

I had ordered a S-2 in a silver edition. I was told today that they only have dcc with gold edition. My RS-2's both silver editions and have basic dcc I bought from two different places and got the same with silver, it didn't need to be gold. Gold was with sound. So i need to buy a dcc chip for this engine. Just a heads up for those of you ordering engines from Atlas. Kinda put a bad taste in my mouth with Atlas....

I finally did a bit of work on the layout. A lot of that mountain on the right side. Got two coats of Mud on it. I have more to do on it. Shots below

A bit more to touch up. Have to stop for a bit. Not sure how to do the rest yet. I'll figure it out.
